Perspectives on Memory Disorders - Sept 18, 2019

Friends and partners in memory disorders outreach.

Abiding Love Lutheran Church hosted a panel discussion on memory disorders. 

Perspectives on Memory Disorders occurred on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at 7 - 8:30 PM in our sanctuary, where attendees got answers to their questions about memory disorders. 

We discussed 

  • Dementia diagnosis and treatment
  • Services for families impacted by dementia
  • What caregiving is really like, through the eyes of a caregiver
  • and many other topics. 


Our three panel members were:

  1. Dr. John Bertelson,
    Behavioral Neurologist,
    Ascension Seton
    Assistant Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry
    UT Austin Dell Medical School
  2. Anna Finger, LMSW,
    Social Worker,
    Comprehensive Memory Center at Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciences, UT Health - Austin
  3. Edith Davila,
    Dementia caregiver for her spouse since 2015
